Little Pumpkins@New Education Policy 2020

Education is fundamental for achieving full human potential, developing an equitable and a just society, working towards a better nation.

Under the new 5+3+3+4 structure, a strong base of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) from age 3 has been emphasized, which is aimed at promoting better overall learning, development, and well-being. ECCE ideally consists of flexible, multi-faceted, multi-level, play-based, activity-based, and inquiry-based learning. In addition to the education, it also focuses on developing social capacities, sensitivity, behavior, courtesy, ethics, personal and public cleanliness, teamwork, and cooperation

It is becoming increasingly critical that children not only learn, but more importantly learn how to learn. Education thus, must move towards less content, and more towards learning about how to think critically and solve problems, how to be creative and multidisciplinary, and how to innovate, adapt, and absorb new material in novel and changing fields. Pedagogy must evolve to make education more experiential, holistic, integrated, inquiry-driven, discovery-oriented, learner-centred, discussion-based, flexible, and, of course, enjoyable.

We at Little Pumpkins Development and Care Trust fully believe Education must build character, enable learners to be ethical, rational, compassionate, and caring.People who cultivate character, personality onthe basis of ethos of culture and civilisation of India have patriotism and goodness in them. We see that the children imbibe Patriotism, Service, Goodness, Honesty and Simplicity- In the end – Making Good Human Beings.
